This project is our chance to explore multiple genres of music, drawing inspiration from anything and everything. Sampling has become a huge part of that creative process. The concept behind this is a musical collage, where we use samples, drums, and live percussion. A lot of the ideas and sections are loose frameworks, allowing lots of room for improvisation.

The Xylosynth, a somewhat new instrument, has been the main inspiration. It is completely customizable, which makes the possibilities endless. It functions as a Midi board that allows the user to program any sound to any note. You play it like a Vibraphone, holding two mallets in each hand.
This is our take on a DJ/Drummer Project. Inspired by Nick Werth, Chris Dave and the Drumhedz, Zildjian Underground Series, Ghost Note, and the late J Dilla. The (current) name for this project is HDAD.

Old Oak Cliff Pop-Up Music Series is a series of music shows in an intimate setting in Oak Cliff, Tejas. Every Saturday, we'll be turning an old tire shop into a small 25 max capacity garage-style-DIY outdoor music venue. BYOB.
